Our 5S Strategy

Our 4S Global Regions

Christian & Missionary Alliance workers aren’t floating on the surface. They’re going deep. More than 40% of our workers are in countries that closed their doors to traditional missionaries long ago. Jesus asked us very clearly to disciple all nations. Our workers understand that this wasn’t merely a suggestion. The C&MA was built on this foundational command, and has lived it out since the 1800’s.

There are four ‘S’ Regions:

Each of these regions has a broad range of physical and spiritual needs that intertwine in the lives of those who live there. We have designed four Global Ministry Tracks – Church, Marketplace, Compassion, and Support – to help bring focus to those needs, aiding both our workers and congregations at home who are partnering to meet them.

They do this in almost every setting imaginable, from rural sustenance communities to high energy urban streets and in countries that protect freedom of expression and those who suppress it. Our workers are respectfully immersed in other cultures, loving them and becoming part of them. As a result, they are driven to build up and enable local believers to lead the way. When this happens, as it has hundreds of times throughout the decades, our workers step aside and look for other corners of the world for God to use them again.

Our 5th ‘S’- Sea to Sea

The C&MA in Canada is motivated by the desire to make disciples of Jesus across our nation through a movement of churches. We believe that God is at work calling leaders and communities to “new” things in order to reach Canada from Sea to Sea. We call this movement of new things, “New Ventures.”

What is a New Venture?

New Ventures are emerging communities of faith who are listening and responding to what Jesus has called them to be and to become.

We firmly believe that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to being the church. Every New Venture looks different, and we commit to walking alongside you to help you listen and respond to how God is leading you as an individual or community.

How We Help

The C&MA has established New Ventures Teams in each province whose aim is to facilitate a learning and growing environment for leaders and communities. Every New Venture looks different, and the New Ventures Team commits to walking alongside you to help you listen and respond to how God is leading you as an individual or community.

Becoming a New Venture

Becoming a New Venture begins with a conversation to learn about your sense of calling and vision. By seeking clarity together, providing leadership development and coaching, and engaging funding opportunities, we assist you in the realization of your calling and gifts.

Visit the New Ventures Communities page to learn about current New Ventures. To schedule a primary conversation, please contact a regional leader.
